Since 1909 the Branch family has offered hospitality to visitors to the Boothbay Harbor Region. From 1919 to 1944, Elizabeth and Grove Branch developed and managed Linekin Bay Camp for girls. After World War II, their son, Robert, and his wife, Ida, converted the camp to an American Plan family sailing resort which they operated together.
Today Peter Branch and his sister, Kristina, as well as their spouses, Paula Carreiro and Doug Mackay and their respective children, continue the hospitality tradition. They are the third and fourth generation!
As more people desire multi-seasonal homes and the year-round lifestyle that midcoast Maine offers, the Branch family are transforming Linekin Bay Resort into a relaxed resort community offering a limited number of homes and cottages for sale, 40 lodging units, a waterfront restaurant and bar, modest meeting and function space, and a wide variety of amenities and activities, many focused on and around the water.
